LIVE EDGE TRESTLE HALL TABLE

This elegant hall table showcases a natural-edged top, with creamy sapwood accents along its front edge as well as on the legs. At 30 inches high, the top provides a convenient surface that matches the height of most tabletops found in the home.

The legs are joined to the top with tapered sliding dovetails, a stout joint that locks the parts soundly together. The center beam further enhances this solidity with wedged, double through-tenons, providing strength as well as jewel-like beauty. The legs are set in from the back edge of the table so that any baseboard trim won’t interfere with the top nesting against a wall.

Several coats of hand-rubbed oil bring out the color, luster and depth of the wood, and a topcoat of an oil/urethane mix provides lasting protection against daily wear.
